FOOTDISC German Posture Correction Insoles use patented technology and are designed based on the arch and foot shape. By supporting the arch and heel, they correct gait and greatly reduce pain caused by flat feet, knee degeneration, wear and tear, long-term standing, and sports injuries.

Founder Bjorn Gustafsson

Footdisc was founded by retired German athlete Bjorn Gustafsson*. After a calf injury derailed his athletic career, he dedicated himself to sports science research, specializing in the relationship between foot pronation and runner speed, foot angle, and foot angulation. He also established a biomechanics laboratory to help 2,500 runners find the right shoes and insoles, improving their performance and reducing injuries.

In 2000, Bjorn founded Currex Software and Sports Training, producing the FOOTDISC infrared sensor. He partnered with international manufacturers such as Asics, New Balance, and Nike, and pioneered the mass market for FOOTDISC insoles, making these scientifically engineered insoles for athletes accessible to everyone. In 2009, FOOTDISC insoles were recognized as the best insole in a test of six leading insole products by UK-based Running Fitness magazine.

Caroline Steffen* developed plantar fasciitis in her left leg in May 2011 and began wearing FOOT-DISC sports insoles. Within three weeks of training, Caroline felt her foot pain significantly reduced. She later decided to wear the racing insoles in two international triathlons, winning both titles.
